Im Verschleierten Dorf warten neue Aufgaben, seltsame Kreaturen und noch seltsamere Kleidung auf Gillian und Jamie. Spätestens zu Hause zeigt sich, dass Marchenghast Spuren hinterlassen hat.
Our room in the Veiled Village was rustic — but very cozy, and we had survived the night just fine.
Gillian: “See? It really wasn’t that bad. This room is actually great.”
Jamie: “True! I slept like a baby and I’m full of energy to throw myself into the Veiled Village. Does it ever get properly bright here?”
Our quest was to find a dragon-like creature and bring it into the village. After some time, we finally found one.
Gillian: “That must be one of those corrupted Nicchus. You have to lure it into the Veiled Village with light… kind of creepy.”
Jamie: “Honestly, I’d rather lure you into the village. Not with light — but with my charm.”
A wild chase began to drive the Nicchus into the village. Jamie and the creature were far ahead of me. At times, I could barely see them.
Gillian: “Jamie, slow down! I can’t keep up!”
Jamie: “No, you speed up. Once we’re in the village, I want to go straight to the clothing shop. I saw something there!”
And so it happened. Jamie had spotted a very special outfit in the clothing store and tried it on immediately. It looked absolutely ridiculous…
Gillian: “I’m dying of laughter. Take that off!”
Jamie: “Why? This is the perfect work outfit! Light, breathable, and it looks great. I can totally see myself herding cows on Epico wearing this. No joke!”
In the middle of the village stood an altar-like structure surrounded by bones.
Jamie: “This place is really pretty crazy. How does anyone even come up with stuff like this?”
Gillian: “Yeah, I ask myself that too. Now come on — we still have to rescue a Forest Fengg.”
The Forest Fengg was a massive, armored creature and our next quest. We had to find it deep in the woods. It was just lying there, groaning from time to time.
Jamie: “She said if we want to save the Forest Fengg, we need to charge its armor with light. And now it won’t cooperate!”
Gillian: “Then that’s its own fault. Come on, let’s ride on. Someone else can deal with it.”
In the afternoon, we arrived back at Meadowland.
Jamie: “That was quite an experience, but I’m glad we’re home. Oh — I’ve got something for you. Put it on and meet me at the stable.”
He handed me a small package, and I already had a bad feeling… He had bought me one of those ridiculous outfits too — which he claimed was the perfect workwear. I put it on and hoped none of my coworkers would see me. We met in front of the stable… and he was wearing his ‘work outfit’ too.
Jamie: “You look amazing! Work is definitely more fun dressed like this.”
Gillian: “Yes — especially for those watching us. This is going to be a comedy.”
I started walking toward the stable.
Jamie: “The saleswoman said they’re also great for role-playing. I’ll be the witch hunter and you’ll be the witch…”
Gillian: “I’m getting a pitchfork — and it’s better if there’s no witch hunter here when I get back!”
